Tap into a deeper dimension of bodywork

Learn a gentle yet penetrating method for doing vertebral and sacroiliac adjustments through the cranial sutures. This technique moves beyond simply correcting vertebral subluxations: it allows you to affect the forces underlying compromised areas, activating alignment at many levels in the body and life. This brings a broad spectrum of benefits to those you touch while expanding your own skills, perception and alignment.

As bodyworkers, we’re always looking for ways to develop and expand our skills so that we can tap into the deeper, more expansive potential of bodywork. And of course we do this so that those we touch can contact & unfold their deepest potential. These cranial suture vertebral adjustments can help you do just that.

Why will you love this technique? Although it's non-force and very gentle, it's very penetrating and effective. You'll be offering your clients a unique option for restoring mobility and alignment without any abrupt cracking maneuvers that the body often can't accommodate. And it's easy to integrate it into any work you already do!

Enhance the health and consciousness of those you touch, while expanding your own perception & alignment

An opportunity for your clients & for you

In this easy-to-use online course you'll explore the multiple dimensions of alignment and how to prepare the body for non-force structural adjustment. Using unique assessment and technique, you then learn how to adjust the cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebra as well as the sacroiliac joint.

Proprioceptive exercise, a type of meditative movement, will be a tool we use to alter perception and expand sensitivity. This makes it possible to effectively apply this non-force structural work.

It's possible to do gentle, penetrating, non-force vertebral adjustments through the cranial sutures. This technique is safe, reliable and very effective. Bringing the spine into more alignment helps the other work you do sink deeper into the body, bridging the positive energetic changes into the bones. You just have to know how to prepare the body, evaluate the vertebrae and apply the technique.

How does this method work?

The cranial sutures are rich in proprioceptors, a part of the nervous system that monitor position and force in order to promote alignment. Proprioceptors in the muscle spindle fibers and golgi tendon organs constantly relay information to the brain about the position of our limbs, vertebrae, hands, etc., in order to maintain alignment. Through these proprioceptive circuits of information, we can access the vertebrae to increase alignment, mobility and flow of energy.

To do this technique we go to a very deep layer in the body where the information about how to restore alignment is held: the proprioceptive system. Then we work with this alignment mechanism to restore motion & alignment at the subluxated vertebrae. And a big plus is that in order to do this work, you'll be expanding your own perception and alignment.

What a gift to offer your clients such a gentle, effective way to adjust the spine!

The sagittal suture and lumbar vertebrae

What does this course include?

1. Detailed video instruction that lead you step-by-step to work with the thoracic, lumbar & cervical vertebrae as well as the sacroiliac region.

2. The theory of how this method works physiologically. Learn how to expand your sensitivity and prepare the receiver for non-force adjustments.

3. An interactive question/comment section underneath each video so that you get answers to any questions you may have for months and years to come.

4. Illustrations to help understand the necessary anatomy and physiology so you can give more precise and effective treatments.

5. Written materials to accompany each video so you can understand the applications fully.

6. Download the videos for use on all your devices. Watch at home, listen when you're driving, take them with you when you travel.... it will be easy for you to access the materials from wherever you are.

7. A private Facebook group for all course participants. This will provide an online community for you to share questions, experiences and knowledge related to Shiatsu Shin Tai bodywork.

8. Recording of a livestream Q&A session that was held on November 11, 2023. Delve deeper into the materials & hear from some of your colleagues.

Here's some feedback from practitioners who are using this method:

"I am constantly amazed by the effectiveness of this technique. I especially find it useful for readjusting and giving space to atlas (C-1), which often is tricky to locate when there's a lot of muscle tension."

Nadja Ziller, Shiatsu Shin Tai practitioner; Berlin, Germany

"This work is so profound, deep and respectful in its spacious listening. Then we may notice a gentle shift towards alignment in the client's system and observe the breath response: the body taking a breath of life, feeling relief and more ease."

Dawn Oei, Shiatsu Shin Tai practitioner; Edinburgh, Scotland

"For me as a practitioner, this work makes me feel more connected to the cranial system. What I’ve seen in my clients is a much deeper state of relaxation for which they are both awed and appreciative."

Anne Brnich, Shiatsu Shin Tai practitioner; Pennsylvania, USA

"The patient and listening energy you embody in this work is transmitted and I feel inspired in the watching and the reading. I've been practicing for 25 years—yoga therapy, shiatsu, traditional Thai massage, Trager, CST, structural integration.... Thank you both for adding to the joy of my life and work"

Jenny Wolffe, Bodywork Practitioner; Iowa, USA

"Doing vertebral adjustments from the cranial sutures requires an exquisite focus & sensitivity that I really enjoy. And although the technique is so gentle, the results are amazing - the vertebrae really do soften and align!"

Lynn Goodman, Shiatsu Shin Tai Instructor; Pennsylvania, USA
